Milt Jackson - Saga Jazz: Early MJQ (2003)

This is the story of the genesis of one of the most original groups in jazz, the Modern Jazz Quartet, which was to spend some forty years at the top of the bill. It was also known by its initials alone, M.J.Q., originally the initials of the Milt Jackson Quartet, which was formed around the great vibraphone-player. The transition from one M.J.Q. to the other should be listened to with great interest.
