This album is the fruit of love for friendship. Love between two friendly Foundations: the Valparaíso Foundation in Mojácar (Almería) and the Indaliana Foundation for Music and the Arts, better known as Clasijazz. The love for sharing music with loved ones in one of the most beautiful and inspiring places in the world, such as the headquarters of the Valparaíso Foundation, has allowed us to bring together three of the most important musicians for Clasijazz on the Spanish scene together with the creator of creators: the great Lee Konitz.
Absolute inspiration in the constant search for something new, for the total interrelation that emerges from each of them and automatically influences the others, and for what comes out and is transmitted to the listener.
What a great joy to bring together great musicians and see them enjoy, feel and dream together with the sole purpose of making music and living unforgettable moments for life.
These beloved beings are Marco Mezquida on piano, Bori Albero on double bass and Ramón Prats on drums making Music in its purest form with the most influential figure of 20th Century Jazz.
I would like to give a huge thank you to our dear Lee Konitz for this recording of one of the most important albums in the history of Clasijazz and the Valparaíso Foundation and to Beatrice Beckett for having created one of the most beautiful places in the world for an artist.
I would also like to thank Manuel Rubio for the beautiful documentary he directed about the CD recording sessions and the concert at Clasijazz, where he elegantly and emotionally captures these beautiful days in Almería
