Mustafa pens impactful tracks influenced by folk and pop, burnished with a profoundly emotive lyrical core. For the Sudanese-Canadian artist's debut album, whose title translates from Arabic into "the world and all its flaws", this covers both the personal and political of childhood trauma and gang violence. Mustafa worked on the album with frequent collaborator Simon Hessman, while also partnering with Aaron Dessner, Clairo, and more.
