Singing saws, burning trees and musical tour de force in insane perfection: the night will certainly not be quiet when Salut Salon invites you to their Christmas concert - although this Christmas classic will of course be heard. For 20 years now, the quartet from Hamburg has captivated a constantly growing fan community around the world, including classical music enthusiasts as well as people who would not normally set foot in a concert hall. And with their own mixture of virtuosity and wit, Angelika Bachmann (violin), Alvina Lahyani (violin), Maria Well (cello) and Kristiina Rokashevich (piano) conjure up a large sack full of musical treasures on stage in their Christmas program: Christmas items from all corners of the world meet sounds ranging from classical music to chanson and film music, and the four musicians drape works from Bach to Dvořák to Piazzolla under the richly decorated tree - all lovingly packaged and presented with sparkling, even holy joy of playing. Hallelujah - what a present. To be experienced on December 19th in Flensburg in the German House with the program "Christmas with Salut Salon".

With their brilliant opening, the “Tango del Diablo” by Astor Piazzolla, the quartet already gives an idea of how diverse dreams can sound: turbulent and disturbing, tender and yearning. The quartet strolls through the emotions with absolutely rousing dynamism and uses the instruments not only in classical perfection, but also boldly and imaginatively as sound tools and artistic accomplices. Violins, cellos and pianos are tapped, worked on and danced to. Salut Salon will play the “Dreams” program for the last time in December 2024. They can be experienced on December 27, 2024 in Lüneburg and on December 29, 2024 in Hamburg. The two concerts in the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie are also the ensemble's end-of-year concert.
