Uprising is a South Korean historical military action film set in 2024, directed by Kim Sang-man from a screenplay by Shin Chul and Park Chan-wook. The movie follows the lives of two childhood friends who become enemies during the Japanese invasion of Korea. The film premiered on October 2, 2024 as the opening film of the 29th Busan International Film Festival and was released on Netflix on October 11, 2024.

Jo Young-wook was born on January 1, 1962 in South Korea. He is a composer and producer, known for The Man Standing Next to Me (2020), Little Drummer Girl (2020) and Sympathizer (2024).
