Cosmopaark - Backyard EP (2024) Hi-Res

Keeping the promises of an authentic shoegaze outlined in their previous productions, this mini-album by Cosmopaark was shaped in two weeks at Shorebreaker studio with Johannes Buff (Thurston Moore, Lee Ranaldo, Lysistrata,…) on the mix and recording as well as Pierre Loustaunau (Petit Fantôme) on the artistic direction. We dive into new sounds naturally taking the artistic approach of the band further. These five tracks engage Cosmopaark in a more modern path, the melodies are diluted in hypnotic fluids and nevertheless charged with a strong intensity.

“This EP is for us the logical continuation of our artistic evolution, we continue to explore and search for what makes us vibrate. Always introspective but lighter in the subjects addressed than the previous album, this EP is an ode to resilience, in each piece it is a question of movement, of moving forward.” – explains the group.

The listener is immersed in a garden where memories worn by time reign, those that we want to forget and those that will remain forever engraved in our memory. It is time here to wipe the slate clean and turn towards new horizons.
