The band Vox Low from France is known for their dark and hypnotic blend of post-punk, krautrock and minimal techno. They formed in the underground disco-punk scene of Paris in the early 2000s. Jean-Christophe Coudercq (vocals and synthesizers) and Benoit Raymond (bass guitar, guitar, synthesizers) form the core of the band, later joined by Mathieu Autin (drums, percussion) and Guillaume Leglise (guitar, synthesizers). Vox Low's live performances are described as rituals combining dark psychedelic energy and punk angst. They combine influences from bands such as The Fall, Can and Peter Gabriel-era Genesis to create a unique sound that perfectly blends elements of 60s rockabilly with cold, minimalist techno.
