Leaving Time - Angel In The Sand (2024)

“Angel In The Sand” is a story about giving up practicality to follow every little thing that gives meaning to our lives. This idea may sound horrible, but everyone has the right to choose their own path and give meaning to what they do. The song compares grains of sand on a deserted beach to the infinite world of atoms, and encourages us to see the beauty and positivity in it.

The band Leaving Time, as of 2020, is creating their own distinct sound in alternative rock. Their music is heavy and expressive, their influence of hardcore bands is perfectly visible. The new album, written mostly in 2023, sounds massive thanks to the involvement of mastering engineer Zach Montes. The songs on the album are emotional and contrasting, with small moments of relief in the intense tracks. The album closes with “And On,” a song that encourages moving forward despite pain and hardship. It has dynamics and a mix of different emotions accompanied by beautiful melodies and sounds.
