Stefano Pilia - LACINIA (2025)

Stefano Pilia’s latest work is a mesmerizing blend of sacred minimalism, early music, and electroacoustic experimentation. Building on the medieval-inspired sound of Spiralis Aurea, this new album explores the intersection of abstract mathematics and physical structure through ritualistic, circular compositions. Featuring flautist Manuel Zurria and drawing inspiration from artists like Mary Jane Leach, Arvo Pärt, and Eliane Radigue, the album layers woodwinds, warped synths, and resonant guitar to evoke a poetic, contemplative evolution of church music into the secular. Spanning 90 minutes, it’s a richly detailed, deeply immersive listen with layers to unravel.
