Virtually nobody gets to do a second debut album, but that’s essentially what Isaac Holman and Laurie Vincent had the opportunity to do in 2024 with Heavy Jelly, their first record as Soft Play following their rebrand in 2022 from Slaves, and their first long-player in six years. Faster and more frenetic than even their previous albums, it now comes as an expanded edition with six bonus tracks titled Heavier Jelly.
