Her lyrical voice captures the essence of such Broadway and torch song favorites as 'The Man That Got Away', Too Marvelous For Words and Come Rain or Come Shine, I Have Dreamed and Every Time We Say Good-Bye. A native of Long Island, Eileen Sharkey has performed at many New York showcases including The Improvisation, Good Times,Firebird Cafe and other well known clubs and venues. She is a popular presence on the Long Island charity circuit, having performed at fund raising events for Cancer Care,The Association for the Help of Retarded Children,St Chritopher Ottlie, and many other well respected charitable organizations. Ms. Sharkey also produced a Christmas tape that featured her performance of Christmas Clasics called, A Long Island Christmas. Sale of the tapes benefited Long Island Cares, an organization founded by the late singer Harry Chapin. Long Island Cares works to feed the hungry on Long Island. Eileen has also recorded a Christmas CD, titled, 'A CHRISTMAS TREASURE', a treasure chest of all your holiday favorites! Ms. Sharkey has studied voice for many years with leading vocal instructors in New York City and Long Island. She resides on Long Island, with her husband and two children.
