Jonas Wall and Umbaji - Umbaji (2025) [Hi-Res]

Jonas was born 1971 in a small village called Torstuna in Sweden. Ever since he was a little kid, music was in the center of his attention. It all started when Jonas father gave him a Clarinet when he was just 6 years old.

He have studied music from that age to my graduation from The Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm in 1997.

He lives in Stockholm with a family of wife and 3 kids.

From the age of 17 he started to work professionally with music. Jonas have played with a lot of people, in very different kinds of situations - From working in an Orchestra on cruiseships to a US tour with Brian Wilson, from Classical music like Verdis Requiem to Deep House. But my devotion in music lies in Funk, Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop.

A melting pot of strong melodies, rich harmonics, improvisation and heavy beats. groove, emotions and energy in something completely new - Umbaji.

After many years as a band member in Nils Landgren Funk Unit and Mezzoforte, this is Jonas Wall's project.
