Solo Diarra - Yimenga (2025) [Hi-Res]

Solo Diarra is a talented musician from Burkina Faso. He comes from a large Griot lineage of traditional musicians and storytellers. Solo composes and arranges his own music. He plays djembe, kora, n'goni, balafon, guitar, and sings. Through his music, he carries on the ancient traditions of the Griot lineage while also aiming to blend them with new musical expressions. His music is an exciting meeting between old traditions and new styles such as Afrobeat and African Manding music. Solo is honest and intimate in his performances – Diarra sings about things he has experienced – and he aims to bring hope and strength to those who listen to his music.
