The information from the booklet describes a 70-volume anthology dedicated to all jazz lovers who will rediscover this music through an exceptional, previously unattainable sound quality. It is also aimed at the younger generation, unaware that they will fall for the music that set the 20th century ablaze with its creative energy and vibrant swing.

The project’s goal was to break the “sound barrier” and enhance the sound of vintage recordings to make them sound as if they were recorded yesterday. Using advanced technology and the expertise of an outstanding sound engineer, René Ameline, the best sources—original recordings without “second takes” or “false starts”—were utilized. This revitalized the voices of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday and brought new freshness to the improvisations of Louis Armstrong and Charlie Parker.

The process involved cleaning tracks of unnecessary noise and clicks while preserving the original sound texture. As a result, the sound spectrum was expanded, achieving a depth and richness previously unattainable for 78-rpm records. The project, which took nearly two years, delivered a new sound quality, aptly described by Claude Debussy’s words: “At last, wild music with all modern comforts.”
