The album "Masters Of Our Roots" is the result of a historic collaboration between two giants of Cuban music: the fiery vocalist Albita and the legendary jazz pianist Chucho Valdés. The project is a tribute to the great composers who shaped the golden age of Cuban music, such as Miguel Matamoros, Ignacio Piñeiro, and Eliseo Grenet. The album combines Albita's passionate, theatrical performance with Valdés's virtuosic and harmonically rich arrangements. Together, they reimagine classic works of son, danzón, and bolero, preserving their authentic spirit while adding a contemporary jazz sensibility.
