Room to Grow is the second full-length studio album by GoldenOak, an indie-folk band from Maine fronted by siblings Zak and Lena Kendall. The record centers on themes of climate change and human ecology. Rather than traditional protest songs, the album serves as an analytical and philosophical reflection on humanity's connection to the earth and the loss of stability in the natural world. Zak Kendall, having studied human ecology, utilized his academic background to craft lyrics that aim to translate dry scientific data into the language of art and emotion.
