British musician and producer Sam Beste, performing as The Vernon Spring, is releasing his debut solo LP, A Plane Over Woods. Created in the wake of his father’s passing, the album evolves his established muted piano aesthetic through the addition of electronic textures and vinyl samples. Despite his extensive background as a collaborator for high-profile artists like Amy Winehouse and Blood Orange, as well as his work with the trio Hejira, this project serves as Beste’s primary definitive statement as a solo artist.
