Jannis Anastasakis - Solaris (2026) [Hi-Res]

The soundtrack for the stage adaptation of "Solaris" was created for a production staged in an unconventional space — the corridors of an active asylum. Inspired by Tarkovsky's aesthetics and the specific atmosphere of the venue, the composer developed a soundscape that blurs the boundaries between set design and narrative. Utilizing a wide array of instruments, including a musical saw and custom metal soundboxes, allowed for the creation of complex tonal textures. Following the conclusion of the theatrical run, the material was reworked into a standalone album, where the music is liberated from the stage context and presented as a continuous sonic flow.
