A new string trio featuring veterans of Pelt and Elkhorn, alongside Kaily Schenker, has released a debut album blending acoustic psychedelia, drone, and Americana. The record traverses a spectrum from gentle 12-string guitar and bowed instrument arrangements to darker, minor-key compositions. A significant highlight is the riveting, epic reimagining of the traditional folk song "The Squirrel is a Pretty Thing," characterized by droning harmonium and vocals. Originally a limited tour edition, this updated reissue features new inserts, professional mastering by John Golden, and a high-quality pressing.
