Special Blend is the title of the new album by Bodinrocker, a.k.a. Anders Bodin. With Special Blend, Bodinrocker continues on his previous path, keeping the classic melodic rock tradition alive with influences from Status Quo, Whitesnake, The Beatles, Slade, Neil Young and others.

The album was recorded in Gothenburg and co-produced by Anders and Lars Ekberg. Together with his brother in law Lars Ekberg on keyboards, and the new rhythm section consisting of Anders Mossberg on bass (Jerusalem) and Norwegian drummer Fredrik Wallumröd (El Caco, Span), Special Blend delivers 49 minutes of classic rock, straight from the heart.

Most of the songs are written by Bodin together with Dutchman Jan Leentjes, a successful songwriting partnership that has developed and lasted for almost 15 years. “Funnily enough, we've never met in real life, but we've found our way of working where Jan delivers lyrics to already finished melodies, which is not easy”.

For the 1st time, a song is performed in Swedish. “Ligger I Min Famn” was originally a lullaby Bodin wrote for his 1st son, but here it is built up and developed into a dynamic heavy rock song.

One ambition with Special Blend has been to deliver a rocking 'feel good album'. There is a genuine desire to spread positive energy and joy with music that will hopefully make people happy.

From growing up in Jämtland in the village of Hallen, where Bodin started playing guitar, writing songs, and starting his 1st band, Blackboard, at the age of 10, to frequently playing at schools and youth centers in Uppsala with his band 12 Bar Boogie during his high school years, Bodin eventually ended up in Gothenburg and started Bodinrocker in 2005. 4 full length albums later, Hall Of Flames in 2006, Mysterious Man in 2010, Rock It The Right Way in 2014, and Eye To Eye in 2018, Bodinrocker is now back and claims with his new album, like a quote from the US, that “old school isn't dead - or even just resting”.
