Ricardo Ribeiro’s latest album, "A Alma Só Está Bem Onde não Cabe," marks a definitive transition toward artistic independence and the transcendence of long-standing creative inhibitions. For the first time, the artist functions as both a lyricist and composer, delivering a repertoire that reflects his personal "intrinsic truth." The record integrates traditional Portuguese elements with influences from flamenco, jazz, and Arabic musical traditions, intentionally expanding beyond the conventional boundaries of fado. Featuring collaborations with prominent figures such as Ana Moura and Agir, the work is heavily informed by classical and contemporary poetry. The album is conceptualized as an act of spiritual awakening and contemplation, positioning music as a medium for global connection and the pursuit of aesthetic excellence. Live performances of the new material are scheduled for January 2027 at the Coliseums in Lisbon and Porto.
