With his new album "Orgy Of The Damned" guitar hero Slash presents his first "real" solo work in 14 years. Since then, four records have been released on which the Guns N’ Roses guitarist has made common cause with singer Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators. All of them reached the top 10 of the German charts.

Also "Orgy Of The Damned" is not a classic solo album. Rather, Slash has teamed up with two colleagues from his former band Blues Ball, drummer Michael Jerome and singer and guitarist Tash Neal. In this constellation, soulful and exuberant versions of well-known blues numbers were created in the rehearsal room within a few weeks. By celebrating both well-known and largely undiscovered songs, Slash offers a nostalgic bow to the past, while giving the songs new momentum with his inimitable guitar playing.

For this, the multi-award-winning guitarist has invited an impressive line-up of guest singers, as he did on "Slash" from 2010. Among them Gary Clark Jr, ZZ top luminary Billy F. Gibbons, Iggy Pop, Paul Rodgers, pop sensation Demi Lovato, Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes and Beth Hart. In addition, AC/DC siren Brian Johnson shows on the great first single "Killing Floor" how good he sounds even in lower pitches. And country superstar Chris Stapleton turns the Peter Green number "Oh Well" into a sweaty bar blues.

"Orgy Of The Damned" shows a fascinating, less noticed aspect of Slash's musical prowess. Twelve blues classics are reinterpreted here as dynamic, rousing songs.

Traveler reviews
"Twelve songs spread over four pages, pressed cleanly and absolutely flat on vinyl, perfectly set up by producer Mike Clink: In terms of sound, Orgy Of The Damned definitely plays in the upper house." (MINT, July 2024)
