Marc-André is a French double bassist whose elegant sound, expressive individuality and refined musicianship have brought him growing international recognition. In 2025, he became the first double bassist in history to sign an exclusive contract with a major classical label.
For his debut album, Marc-André has recorded an eclectic programme that showcases the full expressive range of the double bass in new arrangements with piano. The repertoire includes Piazzolla’s Nightclub 1960, Tchaikovsky’s Valse sentimentale, Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Schumann’s Träumerei, alongside works by Dvořák, Gluck, Franck, Morricone, Villa-Lobos, Umebayashi, De Falla and more.
