Classically trained violinist Kaethe Hostetter presents a collection of musical vignettes inspired by over a decade of immersion in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her solo work utilizes loop-based violin arrangements to fuse Ethiopian melodic traditions with dub, psychedelic rock, and avant-garde improvisation. The compositions serve as an evocative sonic map of the East African metropolis, blending the raw energy of rural honey-wine bars and street-level textures with the sophisticated big band sounds of Ethiopia’s historic "Golden Era."
