Mike Caudill - Caught at Dusk (2026)

It’s well past five. Hopefully the evening rush will be merciful. The main event starts sooner than you’d like. Struggling to grab everything needed, you shuffle out the front door to the car. As the outdoor air hits your face, a surprising burst of color emerges from above. The sky is a warm fusion of orange, pink, and blue. To the left, lights from the city’s tallest buildings shine in the not-quite night. To the right, the last moments of a sunset dissolve behind the trees. Taking it all in, a few seconds pass as your soul resonates with the wonderous and mysterious magic. Then, an aggressive blaring car horn snaps you out of this untethered state, and you realize you must keep moving. The hustle continues.
