Soul Jazz Records is releasing three new albums by the Australian psychedelic trio Brown Spirits in ultra-limited colored vinyl editions of 500 copies each, which will be permanently deleted on the release day. These recordings were originally issued in scarce quantities in Australia and Germany and are currently completely unavailable worldwide, mirroring the sold-out status of the band's previous releases on Soul Jazz Records. Based in Melbourne's thriving music scene alongside acts like King Gizzard and Amyl and the Sniffers, Brown Spirits delivers a raw sound heavily influenced by 1970s krautrock, free jazz, and deep funk. The trio, consisting of Tim Wold, Agostino Soldati, and Ash Bushcombe, maintains a strict DIY ethic by recording and mixing their material at home on 1/4-inch analogue tape.
