"South Wind, Clear Sky" is the sixth studio album by British psychedelic folk musician and artist Mark Fry, released on September 29, 2014, via Second Language Records.
The album's title ("South Wind, Clear Sky") references Katsushika Hokusai's famous woodblock print "Red Fuji" from his "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" series.
Mark Fry achieved cult status with his debut album, "Dreaming With Alice" (recorded in Italy in 1971, when he was only 19), a masterpiece of lo-fi psychedelia. "South Wind, Clear Sky" retains the same pastoral, dreamlike, and dreamlike atmosphere, but transposes it into the framework of elegant, mature baroque folk.
