Italian musician Lorenzo Camera, operating under the alias Mondoriviera, releases La Laguna Dei Bei Sogni ("The Lagoon of Beautiful Dreams"), an album steeped in surreal, psychedelic sound experimentation. The project draws inspiration from a 1970s Italian animated episode depicting a fugitive army officer consumed by yellow fever delirium on a secluded South American island. The album's sonic landscape blends hypnagogic guitar work, hazy crooning, mutated sound design, and eccentric rompler samples processed through a budget Zoom FX pedal. Merging hypnagogic pop, dream pop, glam rock, and lo-fi avant-garde textures, the record constructs a feverish, hallucinatory odyssey wrapped in nostalgic atmosphere.
