Peter Hammill - Sitting Targets (2007 Digital Remaster) (1981)

Sitting Targets is the ninth studio album by Van Der Graaf Generator frontman Peter Hammill, released in June 1981 on Virgin Records. Recorded at London's famed Soho Studios, this release marked Hammill's transition to the aggressive, energetic, and laconic sound of early 1980s new wave and post-punk, while fully retaining his signature poetic depth and drama.

The album marked the final formation of the renowned K-Group backing band (consisting of Hammill himself, under the pseudonym "K," bassist Mo Foster, drummer Guy Evans, and guitarist John Ellis of The Vibrators). The album's sound was more lively, guitar-driven, and angular compared to his previous electronic experiments.
