Kitka - Kolo (2026) [Hi-Res]

Women's vocal ensemble Kitka returns with new recorded material on the album Kolo, a project conceptually rooted in the Proto-Balto-Slavic idea of the circle, representing cosmic cycles of renewal, shifting seasons, and shared human destiny. The record merges traditional folk with experimental a cappella, exploring the interplay of dissonance and harmony. The group presents re-imagined folk songs performed across a wide range of languages, including Bulgarian, Latvian, Estonian, Georgian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Corsican, and Lithuanian. The release highlights the evolution of Slavic vocal traditions and the sonic richness of world music, offering listeners an immersive experience enhanced by specialized audio mixes like Dolby Atmos.
