Nodo Gordiano - Nous (2014) Flac

Nous (2014) is a monumental and mature work by the Roman collective Nodo Gordiano (Gordian Knot), led by bassist and composer Andrea Pisani. The album's title alludes to the ancient Greek philosophical concept of Nous (Mind, Reason, Origin), emphasizing the intellectual, conceptual nature of the record. The album is an uncompromising synthesis of complex jazz fusion, the dark atmosphere of avant-garde art rock, and the classic traditions of Rock Progressivo Italiano (RPI), elevated to the level of profound academic improvisation.
