Moongarden - Songs from the Lighthouse (2008)

Songs from the Lighthouse (2008) is the fifth concept album by the Italian band Moongarden, recognized as one of the most mature and cohesive works in their discography. Frontman Cristiano Roversi (also known for his subprojects Submarine Silence and Mangala Vallis) crafts a profound, melancholic sonic narrative around the image of a lighthouse as a symbol of isolation, hope, memory, and salvation. The album combines signature European neo-prog melodicism with expansive symphonic arrangements, where sweeping synth backdrops sit alongside expressive guitar solos and elements of contemporary alternative rock.
