SM-LL presents Batch 0005 from London-based artist Ex Geo.
Ex Geo is an alias of Jimmy Billingham (HOLOVR), a project exploring repetition, non-linear rhythm and random variation through digital modular synthesis.
Batch 0005 sees Ex Geo exploring a more minimal aspect of his sound creation, a 'palette-cleanser' between working on HOLOVR material. Employing random variation of parameters, all the tracks are recorded live on self-playing Nord Micro Modular patches to create organic-sounding textures and atmospheres. Analogue reverb and delay is utilised to naturalise the digital origin.
