Being with us from the start it has been 6 long years since we released Virlyn's debut album 'Wolk'. A lot has changed in that time, both in his surroundings as in his head and this reflects itself in his musical spectrum.

After exploring the 'ambient' scene (we dont like scenes or genres but it gives you an idea) with releases on Subterranean Tide (Aguirre EP), Already Dead Tapes (a casette album with An Moku called 'Of Mirrors'), Etalabel (Man Asleep), Fluttery Records (Artic Radio) and Spiritech Records (Scrap Book) Virlyn delivers us with his second album here on Xtraplex an eastern flavoured trip true his inner self. Lush drones alternate to layered field scapes into humble piano pieces and orchestral epicness. Crafted with a well explored modus operandi and the upmost precision and detail Frédéric Vanderlynden produced for us his pinnacle so far. Cinematic ambient at its best!
