Assaï Jazz Trio - Brumes (2019)

The project was born in 2008, from innocuous work sessions as the musicians practice them. Soon, it turned out that there was a common desire to develop game modes and a group sound on the pretext of songs from the repertoire of American jazz. The idea was also to think about possible arrangements with this type of training without harmonic support (piano or guitar). This intimate instrumentation gives the group a relatively clean sound that is reminiscent of some projects Sonny Rollins or more recently Joshua Redman or Fly. During this long collective work, the 3 musicians thus knew how to install a great complicity between them and a cohesion of the speech which they elaborated. Each brought their own ideas to create a repertoire of original compositions imbued with nature, evasion and freedom.
