When a young pianist makes her debut CD with late works of Chopin and Ravel's diabolically difficult Gaspard de la Nuit, this is indicative of considerable self-confidence. The young Miao Huang, winner of the German Music Competition, shows on her GENUIN Primavera CD that this confidence is thoroughly justified. She masters the passionate urge and the time-suspended arabesques in Chopin's B-minor Sonata as well as the devilish leaps of Scarbo and the floating water games of Ondine.
