Henry J. Huisjes (1963) is a pianist, Hammond organist, choir director, arranger and composer from the Netherlands.
He started playing at an early age. He then studied at the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Enschede where he was taught by Peter Rijs (Hammond organ), Hans van de Werf (Piano), Jan Wilbers (harmony and counterpoint) and Theo Willemze (music theory and arranging).
His musical style is known for the combination of classical and light music (jazz, gospel, pop), which makes his style authentic and recognizable.
Henry is conductor of two choirs. Con Amore from Hoogeveen and Campanella from Holten. He is also pianist at several choirs and ensembles like the men’s choir from Hollandscheveld and Christelijk Zangkoor Nijverdal.
Concert tours with choirs have already taken him to many countries in Europe. His compositions and arrangements are used worldwide and performed by many musicians, choirs and orchestras.
