Kyyberwall - Dogs Don't Gossip (2023)

As it happens, records can often be conceived as imaginary soundtracks, not to visual or literary narrations, but to places. One such impossible mood-setter is provided by Kyyberwall’s Haunter Records debut 'Dogs Don’t Gossip'.

The London-based producer’s relentless drum&drone drafts an abstract map for a zone in which unspoken treachery is commited. Shifting between driven drum breaks, scattered percussion and a firm low end presence, the EP deploys a minimalistic yet forceful arsenal of sounds, with The Fertile Crescent’s Susu Laroche also appearing to contribute to its estranging beauty. 'Dogs Don’t Gossip' is an unintentional excavation, drawing tales from the outskirts of memory.
