Melodic and Expressive Progressive Rock with Jazz, Classical, Celtic, and New Age flavors. Message from The Doctor in the guiTARDIS: As a Clinical Psychologist and recording artist, I have the privilege of a perspective on music that has allowed me to integrate its healing energy and information into my practice and personal life. I shouldn't be surprised that the most commonly reported benefit to the music that I produce is that it "relaxes" people, makes them smile, and more recently, thanks to the inclusion of different drummers, makes them want to dance. The membership has historically been fluid, because let's face it: Good musicians have full dance cards, especially if they are nice people. The people who have played with me in the past.
Thomas, Michael Arata, Alan Renkl, and Andy Gavin, are good people who can play the heck out of their instruments. Since the addition of Selina "The Fox" on bass and John Gibbs on drums, we are focusing on putting together a core, cohesive group of musicians for "The Music Therapy Experiment." The name reflects my belief that playing and singing is good for the soul. Music therapy can be helpful for mental health maintenance (read, "Without music I would be nucking futs!"). It has been my experience that involvement in music helps me relax, re-focus, and short-circuit rumination and obsession. I was the first participant in my experiment. If the project interests you, i.e. spreading positive emotion through music, then we would love to hear from you.
