Elia Do Mar (born Elia Martins Alexandre) was born in London of a Portuguese father and an Italian mother. He started off playing classical music since age five and slowly found his love for Jazz. His style based around the legendary recordings of the Blue Note label with pianists such as Horace Silver, Bud Powell, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Clark, and especially Red Garland.

Performance wise, Elia has performed at the annual Battersea BBQ on two occasions, Jazz at St. Dionis Church, the Hotel L’Auberge d’Aillon et d’Ailleurs, The Clapham Grand on two occasions and many more. In August 2023, Elia put together a quartet to play at the Sands End Arts & Community Center. This was a record breaking concert as it had record number of attendees. Elia has worked with notable musicians including John Williamson (bass), Dave Davies (drums), Nye Banfield (ten. sax), Noel Joyce (drums), Max Salisbury (bass), Conor Murray (bass), Josh Wakeham (ten. sax), Ray Rafols (violin), Scarlett Halton (vocals), and many more. Elia along with Dave Davies run a monthly charity jazz gig / jam session at the Walnut Tree Cafe, Sands End Arts & Community Center and it has been a great success so far.

In January 2024, Elia's quartet featuring Josh Wakeham on tenor sax, Conor Murray on Bass, and Dave Davies on drums recorded their debut album called On The Move.

Composing wise, Elia has composed over sixty pieces in the past year. Elia also teaches beginner piano, beginner Jazz piano, and Jazz history. Apart from piano, Elia also enjoys writing, reading and playing table tennis.
