The group has released a new EP, Live From the Crypt, offering a warmer and more intimate selection of improvisations recorded during a performance at The Crypt in South London in September 2021. This 30-minute digital release captures the magical atmosphere of an evening filled with sounds and memories.

The ensemble consists of four musicians who have collaborated with renowned artists such as Sting, Van Morrison, Anoushka Shankar, Wild Flower, Ill Considered, and others. On woodwinds, Idris Rahman and Tamar Osborn weave melodic threads, playing either in unison or in counterpoint. Jihad Darwish bridges the melodic and harmonic elements with sitar, double bass, and electric bass, while Yusuf Ahmed ties it all together with drums and hybrid percussion.

The group deliberately designed their instrumentation to allow performances to be entirely acoustic or amplified, broadening their musical possibilities.
