"MCMXCV" (Roman numerals for "1995") is a collection of recordings by the British Britpop band Powder, active from 1994 to 1996. Fronted by the renowned socialite and singer Pearl Lowe, the album compiles the group's key singles, such as "Afrodisiac," "20th Century Gods," and "Deep Fried," which were originally released on Parkway Records. The 2025 edition by Cherry Red Records brings this cult yet obscure material back to a wider audience, preserving the spirit of the mid-90s London scene. The album's sound is characterized by dense guitars, catchy pop melodies, and Lowe's distinctive vocals.
