Stuart McCallum - A Quiet Gathering (2026) [Hi-Res]

British guitarist Stuart McCallum has released "A Quiet Gathering," a five-track EP featuring uniquely interpreted jazz standards. The core concept of the release is the utilization of Atmos immersive audio technology, which informed the entire writing and arrangement process. McCallum moved away from dense jazz harmonies in favor of melodic clarity, enriching the central guitar parts with acoustic folk textures such as flutes, bodhrán, and trumpet. Developed in collaboration with engineer Hans Martin, the project focuses on spatial depth and the listener's placement within the ensemble, establishing a new creative trajectory for the artist centered on intentional immersive listening.
