Lies From the Lonesome Valley is the debut full-length album from Nashville-based singer, fiddler, and songwriter Wyatt Espalin, released on May 1, 2026. Recorded with his band The Riverstones and featuring guest appearances by Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls and singer-songwriter Grace Pettis, the record draws its emotional core from Espalin's personal history. Born in Los Angeles to Navy parents, he spent his early years in constant upheaval before finding stability with his grandparents in the mountains of North Georgia — a landscape that permeates the album's imagery and spirit.
Across eleven tracks, Espalin maps the inner life of a weary traveller nearing the end of a long road: his joys, sorrows, hungers, and loves rendered in the Americana tradition of plain-spoken confessional storytelling.
