Nigerian pianist, composer and educator Digba Ogunbiyi enters a new era of his band leading career with his remarkable sophomore album Stay Still.

The album explores and combines thematic, sonic and conceptual ideas that are unique to his compositional and playing style into a body of work that is grounded, searching and deeply human.

The 11 track album Stay Still, explores the result of a genuine interaction between music of different cultures. While Digba’s influences such as McCoy Tyner, Mulgrew Miller and Chick Corea can be perceived in his playing, the album also brings to focus the evolving sound of west African jazz.

The album features saxophonist Adam Aronesty, Drummer Chidiebere Emmanuel and Bassist Zach Walgren who are the core members of the Digba Ogunbiyi Quartet. It also features special guest performers Saxophonist/Talking drummer Temidayo Balogun, Trumpeter Aaron Ouellette and Singer Namisa Mdlalose Bizana.
