Across the Water - Scillonian Solace (2026)

Across The Water is a musical project founded by Peter McKerrow and Andrzej Werno in 1975 as a bold experimental album where each participant received only a single copy of the vinyl with their own recorded side. The project experienced a revival with the release of the album Scillonian Solace (2021), assembling an ensemble of four additional musicians who crafted a rich, atmospheric soundscape. The album draws inspiration from serene British islands and is based on integrating natural environmental sounds (waves, bird songs) with arrangements built on the organic development of musical phrases. The result is a contemplative work of experimental music that demands attentive listening and offers immersion in a unique sonic world where nature and melody become inseparable.
