Green Wave - ...We Used to Cut the Green Grass.../...The War Is Over... (2009)

...We Used to Cut the Green Grass... / ...The War Is Over... (2009) is a monumental diptych and one of the most ambitious conceptual releases in Green Wave's discography. Divided into two contrasting halves, the album explores themes of lost pastoral idylls, devastating social upheaval, and the weight of post-war catharsis. The first half (...We Used to Cut the Green Grass...) revolves around organic, light folk-prog, and psychedelic textures, while the second (...The War Is Over...) plunges into dark, urban post-rock with dramatic guitar walls of sound and cinematic ambient melancholy.
