Sutari - Wiano (2023) [Hi-Res]

Sutari is a Polish music group consisting of three women who perform traditional Polish folk music. “Wiano” is Sutari’s debut album which consists of 10 climatic songs dug up from the Polish Radio archive.

The debut recording from SUTARI is leading the listener through the soundscapes of everyday life which whilst expressing an Intimacy within four walls also introduces an open and joyful experience for a larger gathering. As SUTARI, we sing in the kitchen, we sing in the bathroom, with the window open and by the fireplace, pouring tea, baking a cake or listening to the ticking of the clock, from walking in the woods to siting on a bench by the house or on a bridge by a lake.

Traditionally 'bride-price' was a possesion of a bride brought into her marriage. Our BRIDE-PRICE is the richness of our musical experiences, inspirations, imagination and friendship. It is a musical collage, which we travel through various musical spaces of our everyday live, both intimate, close one, happening behind the closed door, and that intewoven with joyous bustle and meetings in a bigger circle. The places, that accompanied us during the rehearsals, concerts or while working over new pieces. We tell stories unusual and day-to-day at the same time, with the words of women of many generations, who comforted themselves with those songs, gave joy, played and joked.
